As a part of the research project "Priority and safety at junctions" the relationships between the highway and traffic characteristics and the number of the different types of accidents were determined for 1500 intersections and T- junctions (See PB 29453). For the determining of these relationships an important influence is expected of the quantity of traffic. Therefore detailed traffic counts were done on 10% of the selected junctions. Methods of counting and analyses of the results are discussed
